The hard part is accounting for it, and that is now what regulators, investors and customers want to see. Carbon has moved from a voluntary gesture to a core business requirement: organisations are judged by the credibility of their emissions data and the discipline behind their reduction plans. As mandatory climate disclosure spreads across markets and assurance on the numbers moves closer, the demand is no longer for pledges but for proof. Those who build this capability early protect their access to capital, lower their risk and move with confidence while others scramble to catch up.

Yet most organisations are still wrestling with the same practical questions:

Where do we begin?
Which standards actually apply to us?
How do we measure emissions we can stand behind?
What does a report that survives assurance look like?

This programme cuts through the complexity with a practical, hands-on approach, taking your team from the science, through measurement and assurance, to credible targets and reporting.

Better carbon decisions reduce risk, support responsible growth and ready your organisation for a future where credible emissions data is the norm. You will leave able to own your numbers — and speak about them with the same authority you bring to every other part of the business.

Course Director

Rodziah Adros Yahya — MSc., BBA., SCR®, FRM® ESG, Climate Risk & Carbon Accounting Specialist

Rodziah Adros Yahya teaches carbon accounting the way an auditor approaches a number, treating it as worthless until it survives being tested. That standard runs through the discipline this course covers, from setting boundaries and scopes under the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 to producing emissions data a verifier will accept. She held it for twenty years before she taught it.

At PETRONAS she rose to Senior Manager of Portfolio Risk, quantifying the group’s most material exposures for its board risk committee, and earlier ran its financial-risk compliance and Group Treasury controls. That work answered to the same logic as a credible emissions inventory, namely clean data, clear boundaries and evidence that holds up under assurance. Her FRM® certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) is the formal mark of that grounding.

Her SCR® certification, also from GARP, carries that rigour into climate, and she now works in it directly, advising on ESG and sustainability and delivering training grounded in the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 and the frameworks behind credible disclosure. She holds an MSc in Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and a BBA from the University of Michigan, and is an HRD Corp accredited trainer.

That financial lens is what separates this course from purely technical carbon training, and her standing in the field is current. She remains an active ESG and sustainability trainer, and in 2025 her ESG session drew more than 200 professionals during Malaysia’s National Training Week. What she teaches is the discipline this course is built on: knowing a number will hold when it is tested.

Training Agenda

Day 1

Module 1: Welcome &
